Tessel Bank
Banking that explains itself in motion.
01Introduction
Tessel is a concept mobile bank for freelancers whose income arrives in irregular waves.
02The challenge
The challenge
Irregular income makes ordinary budgeting tools feel judgmental. People needed to see what was safe to spend this week, not a red bar telling them they had failed.
03Creative direction
The idea in one move.
Money is shown as tiles that settle into place: income tiles fill a weekly mosaic, and the gaps show what is safe to spend. Motion explains every change before numbers do.

04Design exploration
Studies before decisions.
Gesture studies tested swiping between weeks, pinching into categories and long-press previews. Pinch-to-zoom on the mosaic tested best for understanding.
05Development and implementation
Built to the same standard as it looks.
A cross-platform app with a shared design token pipeline, offline-first storage and a marketing site generated from the same component library.

07Results and outcomes
What thedirection delivers.
Concept project: outcomes describe the intended design result, not measured client metrics.
